Instel was established in 1982 by Mr. N.S. Bhalla, M.Sc., M.I.E.R.E. (Managing Director), a scientist, physicist with over 40 years of experience in instrumentation and Mr. Bharat Bhalla,MIB (Melbourne University), a techno-commercial expert from electronics industry.Instel has a strong focus on R&D and manufactures highly customised test equipment. Instel started with consumer electronics later moving into power supplies, DC-DC converters and some testing & measuring instruments. Over the years the company moved on to testing and measuring instruments for automotive industry mainly two wheeler and their vendors for automobile manufacturers. Currently Instel is specializing in automated test systems for endurance, production and R&D. Most instruments are microprocessor based and also using automation; control and data acquisition using NI based hardware and Lab-view. Current projects are ATE's for horns, relays, speedometers, CDI, RR, ACG etc.
